Natsume Soseki's Birthda
Natsume Sōseki (夏目 漱石, February 9, 1867 – December 9, 1916),
born Natsume Kinnosuke (夏目 金之助), is widely considered to be the foremost Japanese novelist of the Meiji period (1868–1912). He is best known for his novels Kokoro, Botchan, I Am a Cat and his unfinished work Light and Darkness. He was also a sch

Tanabata - Star Festival
Tanabata is a Japanese tradition wherein people write
their wishes on tanzaku papers (colorful, small strips of papers) and hang them on bamboo branches. People also decorate bamboo branches with various kinds of paper decorations and place them outside their houses.
